Student loan interest is deductible to a maximum of $2,500 per year. The deduction begins to phase out at $55,000 ($110,000 if married filing jointly) and is completely disallowed at $70,000 ($140,000 if married filing jointly). Sorry….. I don’t make the rules, I only obey them.
